Yumetab — Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Yumetab, a Chrome New Tab rhythm game ("the Extension"), and the optional Supporter Pack and Seasonal Pass in-app purchases. By installing the Extension you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please uninstall the Extension.

1. The Extension

Yumetab is a free Chrome extension. Core gameplay (every song, every mode, leaderboards, daily challenge, calibration, imports) is free forever and will never be paywalled.

We provide the Extension on an as-is basis. We do our best to keep it stable and accurate, but we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose.

2. Optional purchases

The Supporter Pack ($4.99 USD, one-time) unlocks cosmetic skins, hit sounds, trails, and the cloud-save feature. The Seasonal Pass ($2.99 USD, one-time per season) unlocks a limited-run cosmetic bundle.

Purchases are processed by ExtensionPay, which uses Stripe as the underlying payment processor. We never receive your card details, billing address, or email — see the Privacy Policy for details.

All purchases are one-time. There are no subscriptions, no auto-renewals, and no recurring charges. Once purchased, an unlock never expires.

3. Refunds

If you're unhappy with a purchase for any reason, you can request a full refund through:

We honour refund requests in good faith for a reasonable period (typically 14 days from purchase). After a refund, the corresponding unlock is removed from your local install.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Extension for personal, non-commercial purposes. You will not:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code

of the Extension, except where Chrome's extension format permits.

• Submit fraudulent scores, automate gameplay to inflate leaderboard

rankings, or otherwise abuse the global leaderboard system.

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Extension or its premium

cosmetics without written permission.

• Use the Extension to harass other players in any community space we

operate (including the Discord linked above).

We reserve the right to invalidate scores, remove leaderboard entries, or revoke unlocks for violations of this section.

5. User-imported content

The Extension can import audio files (.mp3, .ogg, .wav) and beatmap archives (.osz, .osu) you provide. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content you import. Imported audio is decoded and stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers — see the Privacy Policy.

We are not affiliated with osu! or ppy Ltd. The .osz / .osu formats are open file formats; the Extension reads them on your device and generates a Yumetab-compatible chart. No osu! assets are bundled with the Extension.

6. Updates

The Extension updates automatically through the Chrome Web Store. We may add features, fix bugs, change cosmetic content, or adjust the free / premium split at any time. We will not retroactively paywall content that was free at the time you installed the Extension.

We will not silently change these terms. Material changes will be noted in CHANGELOG.md and the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.

7. Discontinuation

If we decide to discontinue the Extension, we will provide at least 30 days' advance notice in the Yumetab Discord and in a final update's CHANGELOG.md entry. Local data (settings, PBs, imported songs) will continue to work for as long as Chrome continues to support installed-but-removed extensions.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yumetab and its independent developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or hearing damage caused by playing rhythm games at unreasonable volumes. Please use a sensible volume level.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these terms or your use of the Extension is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim — for free users, this is $0.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the developer's country of residence, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You and the developer agree to attempt informal resolution of any dispute via the Yumetab Discord before pursuing other remedies.
